Planting a Tree

Before your Chao can plant any seeds, it will need to have won the Shovel from the Crab Pool race. Once your Chao has the Shovel, it will be able to plant seeds for the rest of its life.

To plant a seed, simply buy one from the Black Market and then give it to your Chao (the one with the Shovel). It will walk around for a while, and then plant the seed in the ground. If he drops the seed, then just give it to him again; it just depends on him walking over the correct spot.

There is a second item which is useful for planting seeds: the Watering Can, which is won from the Stump Valley race. It is not essential like the Shovel, but it helps. If your Chao has this when it plants a seed, then it will also water it, which will make the tree grow faster and live longer. Also, Chao with the Watering Can will sometimes water grown trees when they are bored; this causes all fruit on the tree to instantly ripen.

Unlike the regular trees, all planted trees are temporary. They will eventually wither and die. When this happens, you can just plant a new tree in that spot if you want.

Planting Locations

Each of the three gardens has a total of four fixed spots where seeds can be planted. Seeds cannot be planted anywhere else. If there are already four planted trees, then you will not be able to plant any more trees in that garden until some of them die. The exact locations are described below.

Chao Garden

On the right side of the entrance, between the first patch of flowers and the pool of water. In the middle of the garden, towards the pond. If you have the Ball toy, then it is next to that. On top of the hill, next to the small dent in the ground. In the back, behind the normal tree and on the right side of the hill where #3 is.

Hero Garden

Behind the staircase. In front of the second big plant on the mountain wall, to the right of the entrance. Further along the mountain wall, directly in front of where you can see two groups of pink and purple flowers. Between the Chao Transporter and the regular tree near it.

Dark Garden

On the very left side of the garden, between the normal tree and the pool of blood. In front of the two gravestones which are closest to the Chao Transporter. In the middle of the garden, in front of #2. On the right side of the garden with the big tree, directly in front of the brown plant which is next to the gravestone closest to the entrance.

Life of Chao.

Chao appears.

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

All Chao are born from an egg. When you first enter the Chao Garden, there will already be two eggs. After some time, the Chao will hatch automatically from the eggs, but there are two ways to speed up the process. The first, best option is to take the egg and shake it in your hands (you need to press B to take the egg, and then without releasing B move the stick to the sides) and put it in place. You can also run and jump with the egg in your hands, and then leave the egg on the ground. As a result, the Chao will hatch faster, and in addition, he will be in a good mood. The latter is especially important as happy Chaos grow well and become attached to their favorite character.

The fastest way is to simply throw an egg against the wall. However, it is clear that in this case Chao will not be happy and will not feel affection for you.

Feeding Chao and Trees.

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

In order for Chao to grow hardy and cheerful (that is, to increase their stamina and keep them in a good mood), they must be fed with fruits. Initially, there are several trees in the garden. To get the fruit, you need to go to the tree and press B. Your character will hug the tree, after which you need to move the stick to the sides to shake it. Eventually, the fruit that ripened on the tree will fall to the ground and can be picked up and given to Chao.

In addition to regular Chao fruits, special fruits and seeds can be produced. Both can be obtained from the Black Market, or imported from the Mini Chao Garden on the GameBoy Advance. Special fruits serve as food, like ordinary fruits (however, they give more stamina points and can affect alignment).

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Seeds are for Chao who have won a Chao Race (see Chao Race) with a shovel and preferably a watering can. Having received a seed, Chao will plant it and grow a tree. This tree, in turn, will produce fruits (and more useful than usual), which can be shaken off the tree and given to Chao. The tree needs some time to grow and begin to bear fruit, and after a while the tree will begin to wither and disappear. If Chao waters it from a watering can, the tree will grow faster and will not wither longer. There can be up to six planted Chao trees in each garden.

First Evolution.

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

When Chao is one year old (biological year), he becomes an adult. To do this, he creates a cocoon for himself and goes through the first evolution inside it. During the first evolution, Chao acquire an alignment and a specialty.

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Both alignment and specialty depend on animals and crystals that you give them shortly before evolution. In principle, you can easily determine what your Chao will be like as an adult by looking at its coloration before evolution. He will be like what he is.

An important point in the evolution is that Chao increase the Rank in the statistics corresponding to the specialty. Neutral Chaos increase stamina. If Chao already has an S rank in the corresponding statistics, his biological age will be reset to 0, which means he will be able to live longer.

Chao reproduction.

Adults only.

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Adult Chao (first evolved) can breed. In order for two Chao to have offspring, at least one of them must have a mating season (a ring of flowers appears around it). The Chao has only two mating seasons in one lifetime. You can also give the Chao a Heart Fruit to encourage an extra mating season, but keep in mind that each egg laid shortens the Chao's life.

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Since Chao are sexless, you only need to match a pair depending on the relationship between Chao. The better they treat each other, the higher the likelihood that the mating dance will end with the appearance of an egg. A hatched Chao will have some traits from both parents. For example, the rank of each statistic will be between the ranks of the parents. However, a lot is determined by chance.

Second Evolution.

Unlike the first, the second evolution takes place without the creation of a cocoon. The timing of it is uncertain, but the more animals and crystals (especially crystals) you give to your Chao, the sooner it will happen. Before the passage of the second evolution, the Chao must go through a natural mating season.

Death and Reincarnation.

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Usually, at the age of 5-6, Chao are going to depart to the other world. Chao creates a cocoon for himself, which then gradually disappears. If you have taken good care of Chao, then this cocoon will be pink and after it disappears, an egg will remain in place of the cocoon. The Chao that hatches from this egg will be the reincarnation of the previous Chao.

He will have the same name, he will know all the lessons learned in a previous life, of course he will have the same set of genes. If in a previous life Chao had awards and prizes won in races, they will remain with him. He will also remember what kind of relationship he had with the characters and other Chaos.

When Chao is reborn, he will again be 0 years old, his specialization and alignment tendencies will disappear. The level of all statistics will become 1, and their value will decrease by 10 times compared to the end of the previous life (for example, if it was 2111, then it will become 211). The rank in the statistics will not change.

If the Chao cocoon was gray and there was no egg left, then you treated your Chao badly. Now he has gone to a better world about you.

Chao care.

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

How you care for Chao depends on his Personality. This is very important, because not only the behavior, but also the characteristics of Chao (Intelligence, Luck) depend on this.

Pet Chao, take him in your arms, feed him regularly. If Chao is deprived of attention, it will have a bad effect on his personality. On the other hand, don't overdo it. If you constantly babysit your Chao with or without reason, then simply spoil it. Well, if you feed him the fruits one by one, then his stomach will simply hurt (and you will have to take him to the doctor).

It's best to wait until Chao gets hungry. You will understand this by the way he will circle around your character, begging for something to eat (if Chao can draw, then he will draw food). Give him something to eat. His favorite is better, but from time to time it is worth diversifying the menu. If Chao does not finish the fruit or what you gave him, give him food again and again. When Chao finally finishes the fruit, pet it or pick it up.

It's also better if Chao isn't alone. If, in addition, several Chao will be able to do something in common (dance or play an instrument), this will allow them to make better friends. It's also a good idea to upgrade Chao's swimming to at least 100 so that he can swim out if he falls into the pond.

The golden rule of all tea growers.

Principal's room - here you will be explained basic information about the Chao. (In principle, if you have read this guide, you do not need it)

Health Center - by bringing Chao here (to do this, you need to take him with you from the Chao Garden), you can find out his addictions, character and rank in the main five statistics. There is also an option "See Doctor" - cure Chao if he gets sick. On the Internet, I was able to find references to only two diseases: a cold (it happens if Chao is too long in the pond) and stomach pain (if Chao overeats). Nevertheless, if Chao behaves strangely, he should definitely be shown to the doctor.

Fortune-Telling House - here the fortuneteller will pick up a lucky name for your Chao. You can ask her to choose a different name as many times as you like, or refuse and call Chao yourself.

Classroom - Chao can be taught certain skills here.

The topic changes every half hour. Chao must be left in the lesson on the desired subject and after ten minutes, when he learns the lesson, he can be picked up. Chao can be left in the lesson for one subject three times in order for his skill to reach its maximum.

Black Market - The Black Market where you can buy various fruits, seeds for trees, colored eggs (from which Chao of the corresponding color appears), and so on.

Animals and Chaos crystals.

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Guide (Part 2)

When completing a level, heroes can collect small animals and chaos crystals. Chaos crystals drop from GUN robots. Animals can be found in various nooks and crannies of the level. Sometimes there is a small pipe on the level. If you whistle next to her, one of the animals will appear from there. Also, several animals are locked inside Eggman's robots (these robots are found on levels near his base: Pyramid Base (Sonic), Death Chamber (Knuckles), Egg Quarters (Rouge). Hidden Base (Tails)).

You can only keep ten animals/crystals in total. If, for example, you take something eleventh, then the first thing you took will simply disappear. When you enter the Chao Garden from the level (you need the key from the Chao Container for this), all ten crystals (or animals) will appear around the character, after which they can be taken and given to the Chao.

After receiving the crystal, Chao receives points in one of the main statistics. Having received an animal, Chao receives points for several statistics, but on the contrary, points are removed from some statistics. In addition, taking an animal Chao can get some of its traits and a certain ability.

The following is the number of points that Chao can get. It can, because the number of points received in each case is chosen randomly in the range from zero to the maximum. Also, the higher the statistic value, the more likely it is to get the maximum number of points.

Life cycle

Birth of Chao

Chao begin their life cycle as an egg. If you enter the Chao Garden for the first time, you will see two eggs there. It is usually a white egg with a yellow spot on the top of the head and other light blue spots on the egg, unless you have purchased a Chao from the Chao Garden or Adventure Field ( Sonic Adventure ). These eggs hatch into neutral Chao. However, if you bought or found an egg of a certain color, such as red, then the Chao will be red. Breeding colored Chao will always produce eggs with a neutral colored shell, even if the Chao itself is colored. You can wait a while for the Chao to hatch on its own, or you can break the egg yourself or speed up the hatching. There are several ways to do this:

  • you can take an egg and jump around with it, then lower the egg to the ground
  • you can take an egg, run and throw it at the wall
  • you can take an egg and walk around the garden with it, and then lower
  • you can take an egg and shake it (to do this, you need to hold down the attack button and press the movement buttons) "dark" or "hero" type.

    • The neutral Chao remains bluish in color, the ball above its head is yellow, the tail is round, and the wings are pink. In order for the Chao to remain neutral, it is enough to feed him fruits growing on palm trees.
    • Hero chao can be grown by feeding fruit to Hero (or by spending time with Sonic, Tails or Knuckles in SA2 and SA2B, in which case even just petting the chao while playing as these characters is enough). If the Chao was a neutral color, then his body will be white, the ball over his head is blue, the tail is round, something like two small antennae will grow on his head, and his wings are yellow. A colored Chao will not change its color, but it will change its shape.
    • Dark Chao will grow if you feed fruit to Dark Chao (or similarly spend time with Hero playing as Eggman, Rouge or Shadow in SA2 and SA2B). If the Chao was neutral, his body will be black, the ball above his head will turn red or purple, the top of the head will become zigzag, the wings will be red in the shape of bat wings, the tail will be thin, pointed at the end. A colored Chao will not change its color, but it will change its shape.

The side will also depend on their relationship to the characters - for example, the "hero" type Chao does not recognize Shadow, Rouge or Eggman. Chao can only reincarnate twice, depending on your attitude towards them. While the Chao is in its infancy, you must decide which path it will take to develop.

    Fruit

Fruit, originally grown in the garden, increases Chao's stamina. In the Black Market (see Chao Garden) you can find triangular, round and square fruits. Such fruits are delicacies and do not increase anything but stamina. Each Chao has a different taste for these fruits. The Chao can also like or dislike certain fruits. In order for a seed bought in a store to grow into a tree with fruit, you must first win a spatula and a watering can in a Chao competition, then buy a seed and give it to your Chao. Chao himself will find a suitable landing site and plant it. Unlike trees that are already growing in the garden, trees grown from seeds die over time. You can plant no more than 6 trees at the same time in one garden. Fruit effects:

    • Chao Fruit
    • Heart Fruit
    • Hero Fruit
    • Dark Fruit - inclines the Chao to the Dark side
    • Smart Fruit - increases mental development in Chao
    • Energy Fruit - makes Chao more energetic
    • Mushroom Fruit - Increases Chao stamina 2.5-3 times more effective than normal fruits

Note: Chao must eat these fruits completely! Sekretik : fruits growing on Hero Garden's trees, like mushroom fruit, increase endurance 2. 5-3 times more than other fruits.

    Ability Development

    Chao Abilities

Each Chao has 5 basic abilities. Maximum each ability can be pumped up to 99level up to 3266 points (in DX, SA2B).

    • Running ( Running ) - is responsible for the Chao's ability to run fast. Upgraded by small animals depicted on a green background (or green Chaos Drives from GUN robots in SA2, SA2B).
    • Swimming ( Swimming ) - is responsible for the Chao's ability to swim well. Upgraded by small animals depicted on a yellow background (or yellow Chaos Drives from GUN robots in SA2, SA2B).
    • Strength ( Power ) - is responsible for the Chao's ability to climb walls, shake palm trees or push objects. Upgraded by small animals depicted on a red background (or red Chaos Drives from GUN robots in SA2, SA2B).
    • Flight ( Flight ) - is responsible for the Chao's ability to fly, which helps to cut paths in Chao competitions. Upgraded by small animals depicted on a purple background (or purple Chaos Drives in SA2, SA2B).
    • Endurance ( Stamina ) - is responsible for the Chao's ability to pass the track as much as possible without getting tired and not falling asleep halfway. Enhanced with fruits.

Animals fly out of defeated enemies or are buried (moles in the game for Knuckles (Knuckles), most often found on the Red mountain level) in levels (in SA, DX) or simply scattered around the levels, fly out of pipes, if they hang down, are inside the chao box (in SA2 and SA2B). Сhaos drives are in robots in SA2 and SA2B. Animals also affect the Chao's appearance, for example, if you give a Chao a rabbit, it will have rabbit ears. Various fruits can be purchased in the Chao Garden or in the Black Market for rings.

Each Chao develops different abilities differently. Some Chao may have a talent for swimming, for example, but not for flight. This means that with each attempt to increase these abilities, more points will be added to swimming than to flying. Each Chao ability is rated from E to S. On this scale, you can find out what your Chao has a talent for (if you have DX):

    S | +26, +27, +28, +29, +30
    A | +23, +24, +25, +26, +27
    B | +20, +21, +22, +23, +24
    C | +17, +18, +19, +20, +21
    D | +14, +15, +16, +17, +18
    E | +11, +12, +13, +14, +15

Chao has secondary abilities - intelligence and luck. In SA2 and SA, all the abilities of all Chao develop in the same way and such that one has the ability to swim, and the other does not, does not happen. In SA2B, what your Chao's talent for can be found out from the doctor at Chao Kindergarten.

    Small Animals and Chaos Drives

Each animal has a different background color:

    • Yellow (penguin, seal, otter) - swimming
    • Violet (condor, parrot, peacock, swallow) - flight
    • Green (boar, cheetah, rabbit, deer, kangaroo) - running
    • Red (elephant, gorilla, lion, tiger, bear) - strength
    • Blue (mole, skunk, koala, raccoon, sheep) - neutral, increase everything little by little.

    Chao Evolutions

    First Evolution

The first evolution occurs some time after Chao birth and turns your Chao baby into an adult. During evolution, a cocoon appears around the Chao. After a while, the cocoon disappears and an adult Chao emerges from it. In SA and SA2 all cocoons are pink, in DX and SA2B the cocoon of the first evolution is blue.

    First evolution: Neutral Chao

    • Red - Power Chao
    • Yellow Swim Chao
    • Purple - Fly Chao
    • Green - Running Chao
    • Blue - Normal Chao

    First evolution: Hero Chao

    • Red - Hero Power Chao
    • Yellow - Hero Swim Chao
    • Purple - Hero Fly Chao
    • Green - Hero Running Chao
    • Blue - Hero Normal Chao

    First evolution: Dark Chao

    • Red - Dark Power Chao
    • Yellow - Dark Swim Chao
    • Purple - Dark Fly Chao
    • Green - Dark Running Chao
    • Blue - Dark Normal Chao

After the first evolution, the Chao gets the ability to breed. For this you need: 1) wait until flowers start to appear around 2 chaos, then take one of the chaos and plant next to the other. 2) artificially induce a breeding season by feeding two Heart Fruit chao (the fruit must be eaten to the end). Next, also plant one "blooming" Chao to another. Light Chaos Chao and Chao characters (Amy, Knuckles and Tails) do not breed.

    Second evolution

The second evolution goes unnoticed. There is no cocoon, as in the first evolution. Chao gradually changes its color and shape. After 5 years (approximately 10-15 hours of real game time, possibly more), a cocoon will reappear around the Chao. If the cocoon is grey, the Chao dies. If you have taken good care of your Chao, the cocoon will be pink. In this case, an egg will appear in its place and your Chao will be reborn.

    Chaos Chao

Chaos Chao is somewhat similar in appearance to Chaos 0. They are immortal, but do not reproduce, and they do not display the limbs of small animals. To grow a Chaos chao, you need to take a new egg, grow a Chao until it is reborn twice (remember that the Chao cannot be given small animals until the second rebirth), then, after the second rebirth, while the chao is still small, feed the chao Dark or Hero fruits (if want a Devil chao or an Angel chao to grow) and give one of each type of animal (SA and DX have 15 animals and SA2 and SA2B have 21 animals) and wait for the chao to grow. Only neutral Light Chaos Chao can be grown in SA. Neutral Chaos Chao, Angel Chaos Chao, Devil Chaos Chao.

How do I get a Chao with SSSSS stats? (SA2, SA2B)

This is very long and tedious. To start, you need to take two Chao who have one of the stuns on S. Let's say you took a Chao who has run on S and a Chao who has stamina on S. You need to cross them. And not just cross, but so that their child has running and endurance on S. First, save the Chao garden. Give each Chao a heart fruit, crossbreed, hatch an egg and take it to the doctor. If the run and endurance on S did not come out, we turn off the game without saving the chao garden. We go into the game again and repeat the procedure until the desired Chao is obtained. When you get a chao with running and stamina at S, you will need to grow it. Then you take another Chao, which, for example, has a flight on S. And repeat the crossing procedure. So sooner or later you can get a Chao that has ALL stats on S. Another option is to take a Chao that has S stamina and just grow it until it transforms a few times. At the same time, it must be remembered: if a Chao, for example, had a run on B and you made it of a running type, then his statistics will increase to A. Similarly, with any statistics. Thus, by increasing the statistics with each transformation, you can get a Chao with SSSSS ranks. Note : Endurance rank cannot be upgraded, so the second option is to choose a Chao with an S stamina rank first.

    Chao Mixings

Crossing two Chao does not always result in a Chao that looks like one of the parents. Sometimes a completely different Chao appears. Here is an approximate percentage of the ratio to the resulting baby:

    • Normal Chao + Normal Chao = Normal Chao (100%)
    • Normal Chao + Single Color Chao = Normal Chao (25%), Single Color Chao with Parent Color (25%), Dual Color Chao (25%), Single Color Normal Chao (25%).
    • Normal chao + Shiny chao = Normal chao (25%), Shiny chao with the same color as the parent (25%), Shiny two-color chao (25%), Shiny one-color normal chao (25%).
    • Normal chao + Jewel chao = Normal chao (25%), Jewel chao with parent color (50%)
    • Single Color Chao + Single Color Chao = Single Color Chao with Same Parent Color (50%), Single Color Chao with Different Color from Both Parents (50%) side of the latter. Accordingly, crossing silver with gold, the chances are (DX))
    • Shiny chao + Shiny chao = Shiny chao with a color like one of the parents (50%), Shiny chao with a color different from the colors of both parents (50%)
    • One Color Chao + Shiny Chao = One Color Chao Same Parent Color (25%), One Color Chao Different Color from Both Parents (25%), Shiny Chao Same Parent Color (25% ), Shiny chao with color different from both parents (25%)
    • Single Color Chao + Jewel Chao = Single Color Chao with same color parent (50%), Jewel Chao with same color as Jewel parent (50%)
    • Shiny Chao + Jewel Chao = Invisible or translucent Chao (100%)

    Special Chao

In addition to regular Chao, there are also special Chao (Shiny Chao, Jewel Chao), but it is either very difficult to get them naturally, or you can only with using the Chao Editor.

    Other appearances

    Sonic X

The most famous Chao Cheese accompanies Cream the rabbit. The Chao also appeared in the episode where Chris Thorndike and the others went camping. There was Chao's secret garden. They also appeared in the visions of Knuckles and Sonic, along with Tikal the echidna. And when Sonic defeated Chaos Perfect, after he returned to his original form, Tikal revealed that these were the Chaos he was protecting.

    Archie Comics

In one of the issues, Tails, Knuckles and Sonic found Chao's garden. One of them liked Sonic, the hedgehog named him "Chenik" and took him to him. As always, Chao Cheese is next to his mistress and friend Cream.

    Chao FAQ

Question : (SA) I want to grow a Gold/Silver/Black Chao. Where can I get an egg?

    Answer :

    • Gold : In Station Square, go to the fight with Chaos 0. Find an egg-shaped stone there. Take it and go to the store you can go to. There is an egg in the window. If you just take it, then you won’t be able to leave the store, because. the egg is on the button. Remove it from the button and put a stone in its place. Take the egg and go to the hotel. There, go into the left elevator - it will take you to the Chao Garden.
    • Silver : Find a body of water in Mystic Ruins. Near the earth itself there is a large such step. Get close to her and do a spindash. The step will be pressed like a button, and an egg will fall out of the stream. Wait until it hits the shore and take it. Then find the cart and get into it - it will take you to the Chao Garden.
    • Black : When Amy releases Sonic from the detention cell on the Egg Carrier, you will be allowed to play with her. Do not rush to leave - there is a black egg in one of the cells. Opposite the chamber there is a vertical beam - hit it with a hammer and the chamber will open. After picking up the egg, go through the door. You will enter a small room where you have to win the game to move on. Having done this, go with the egg to the next door. You will enter the main hall. There, find the door, near which there are 6 buttons with letters. Press them in order to make the word "EGGMAN". Entering the opened door, you will find a portal that will send you to the Chao Garden. You can also buy a Black Egg from the Black Market (see Chao Garden) when it appears there.

Question : (SA2) I want to grow a Gold/Silver/Black Chao. Where can I get an egg?

Reply : SA2 has a Gold Chao and a Silver Chao, but they only act as race opponents. The Black Egg can be bought from the Black Market (see Chao Garden) when it appears there.

Question : (SA2) How do I name my Chao the way I want?

Reply : After leaving the Chao Lobby with the desired Chao, go not to the garden, but to Chao Kindergarten. Go to Fortune Teller there. The fortune teller will give you a name and ask, "Would you like to name your Chao like that?" - answer "No". She will ask: "Guess another name?" - answer "No". She then asks "Would you like to name your Chao yourself?" - answer "Yes". A letter bar will appear in front of you.

Question : (SA2) My Chao can neither swim nor run. What should I do?

Answer : In order for a Chao to learn to walk, he needs 50 points of pumping - this is about level 3. If he has a low running rank, then it could be level 4 or even level 5. In order for a Chao to start swimming, he needs 100 pumping points (level 6-8).

Question : (SA2) How to get to the races?. .

Reply : Chao Garden has a cave behind a waterfall that flows into a pool. Enter this cave. You will see two more caves - one leads to Chao Race, and the other to Chao Karate (Karate is only in the SA2B version).

Question : (SA2) I saw in the screenshots that there is a TV set in a typical garden. Where to get it?

Answer : TV, tape recorder, balls and other Chao delights can be won in Chao races. Also, the Chao can win different toys for himself, as well as a watering can and a spatula for planting seeds.

Question : (SA2) Do Chao play with a ball? I give, I give Chao the ball, but he does not take it.

Reply : It is not necessary to give the Chao ball. Chao must see the ball himself - then his circle above his head will turn into an exclamation mark and he will run after the ball with a joyful face, kicking it.

Question : (SA) How do I remove pet fragments from Chao?

    Answer : Alas, no way.

Question : (SA2) My Chao never drew... Why?

Reply : In order for a Chao to learn to draw, he must be taken to the Chao Kindergarten in the Classroom for the "Drawing" lesson 1 to 5 times. He can also learn to sing ("Song"), dance, play various instruments, etc. in this class. When you enter a class, there is a specific lesson, and you can leave the Chao to learn that lesson. When a red circle appears next to his name, he can be picked up. (There is no need to sit in the classroom all this time!) Lessons change from time to time. Also, if you took a Chao from a lesson, you can immediately leave it for the next one. While in class, the Chao will naturally not be able to race.

Question : (SA2) Why is the Chao crying, but the crying itself is not heard?

Answer : Crying is not heard all the time, but only from time to time.
